A letter to a president

Sometimes it comforts me

Knowing the sun will take us all together

In the end

Enveloping us all in a bright haze of silent fire

Nothing will be spared

Not the most gentle dog

Not the tiniest daisy

Not the richest man (hey Elon)

Even you

Sitting on your throne of lies and manipulation

Stuffed full of pain and ignorance and ego

Drunk on confused power and manic adoration

You will die (sorry to break it to you)

And no one will give a single proton of a fuck

Not in any real way

Life is laughing at you

Death is rolling their eyes

But they both embrace you all the same

And on my dying breathe

I will laugh and cry and feel earth and life embrace me fully

But you

You will struggle and gasp out into the lonely cold air that surrounds you

The pain you caused will suffocate you

Your punishment makes me grimace

It almost makes me feel bad for you

Alone in the end
